Job Summary
Persona is looking for an Accountant I to join our team. If you are interested in a role that you can grow, we are interested in speaking with you. In this position, you will report directly to the Controller and provide your knowledge and expertise when performing a variety of accounting responsibilities. You should possess excellent time management, a cheerful outlook, and a willingness to learn. Our ideal candidate should also be able to work proficiently in Microsoft Excel.
Job Responsibilities
Accounts Payable
- Assist with processing incoming vendor/supplier invoices
- Vendor statement review
- Weekly vendor payments
- Vendor payment verification
Commissions
- Corporate Commission calculations and reporting
- Internal Commission calculations and reporting
Contractor and Business Licenses
- File all appropriate paperwork to the States for the Companies
- Manage the Renewals
Sales Tax
- Manage the Sales Tax program
- Process the approved Sales Tax Returns
- Stay up to date on Sales Tax requirements that affect the Companies
Other duties as assigned
Requirements
Education and Experience
· Associate degree required, bachelor’s degree preferred in Accounting or Business.
· 1 - 2 years Accounting experience in a professional environment desired.
· Moderate Microsoft Excel experience required.
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work
This is a full-time position. Typical Days and hours worked are Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. in our Watertown or Sioux Falls locations.
